Pumpkin Spice Season Is Here!
It seems like Pumpkin Spice Season creeps in a little earlier every year. Retailers started putting pumpkin products out on shelves in early August and Starbucks added the PSL back onto their menu August 26th. I have missed the warm inviting smells of pumpkin spice season. The scent of vanilla mixing with cinnamon, nutmeg, and other exotic smells. I welcome the early arrival of pumpkin spice and I don’t think I am alone in my enthusiasm. If the customers weren’t buying it the retailers wouldn’t be stocking seasonal items this early. Give me all the fall vibes!

Pumpkin Spice Is Back
Pumpkin spice is back and it’s better than ever! I’m going to keep telling myself that at least so I can get hype for fall. It’s fall y’all! I will admit that August 1st might be a little early to start decorating your house for fall. Guilty as charged I have done this before. I usually try to wait until September but sometimes I can’t help myself. I might drag out my Halloween on Labor Day weekend. After the 4th of July my summer seasonal depression starts to kick in. This is a real thing. I’m not making this up. There is just too much sunlight and I’m sick of the heat. I feel trapped inside of my house because it’s too hot to enjoy my hobbies like pickleball and hiking. The only way I know how to deal with this is to hide out in my house and crank up the air conditioner so that I can pretend it’s fall.
My favorite thing about fall is the cooler weather and when the leaves change color. I love to get outside and go hiking in the fall. October is my favorite month of the year. Fall is a season of change. Daily routines get switched up as the days get shorter. You get to change up your wardrobe and start wearing sweaters again! Fall feels like a fresh start. An opportunity to explore and try new things. It also means pumpkin spice and football are back! The change of season and arrival of fall is the real reason so many people are nuts for pumpkin spice.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Anyone?
When most people think about pumpkin spice season they think about coffee, coffee, coffee. The infamous coffee drink, the pumpkin spice latte. The season is about so much more than that basic drink but you can recreate the flavor at home. Many brands now sell pumpkin spice nondairy creamers. My two favorites are Nutpods and Silk. Both are dairy free and vegan. Nutpods is an almond and coconut creamer. Because it’s unsweetened a tablespoon serving is only 10 calories. The Silk almond milk pumpkin spice creamer is a little sweeter. It has added cane sugar. A tablespoon of the Silk creamer is 25 calories.
If you are looking for a vegan PSL recipe check out this one from It Doesn’t Taste Like Chicken. I think the secret to a good PSL is the dollop of non-dairy whipped cream on top!
Celebrate The Season With Fun Recipes!
Many recipes incorporate pumpkin spice seasoning into them to capture that iconic flavor. Here are a few of my favorite Pumpkin Spice recipes:
- Vegan Whipped Pumpkin Pecan Dip
- Vegan Pumpkin Spice Muffins
- Pumpkin Spice Granola
- Vegan Pumpkin Cornbread
- Vegan Pumpkin Whoopie Pies
Don’t Miss Products For Pumpkin Spice Season
- McCormick (yes, the spice brand) has launched four fall seasonal limited edition finishing sugars. The Pumpkin Spice and Maple Brown Sugar are vegan. The other two, Apple Cider and Salted Caramel, aren’t because they contain dairy. I really want to try the Pumpkin Spice Finishing Sugar on the rim of a cocktail, like a fall flavored margarita.
- Diamond Pumpkin Pie Spice Walnuts made for snacking – I normally snack on their Himalayan Pink Salt Walnuts but this is a fun seasonal twist.
- Stonewall Kitchen Maple Pumpkin Butter is a yummy spread that is great on bread or added to treats like muffins.

Still Craving More Pumpkin?
Check out this adorable pumpkin shaped wood cutting board! You know I love making grazing trays and serving platters. Wouldn’t this make the perfect snack board for fall?

I am also just obsessed with the Staub ceramic pumpkin baking dishes. They are absolutely gorgeous! I love that it come in three color choices. You can get the traditional pumpkin color burnt orange, gothic matte black, or a rustic ivory white pumpkin. They are almost too pretty to actually bake with.
If you have a favorite pumpkin bread recipe then you definitely need the Nordic Ware Harvest Bounty Loaf Pan. This American made brand makes high quality cake pans. It has a non stick interior so when you remove your loaf from the pan the details of the designs are sharp and clean. The design of this loaf pan can change your basic banana bread from boring into a beautiful centerpiece.
I love the old fashion look of the Anchor Glass Pumpkin Candy Jar. It would look really cute on any kitchen counter. It’s perfect for your candy stash! Really it would be great for anything you normally store in canisters, like dog treats.
All The Fall Feels
What are your favorite stores to hit up for fall décor and accessories? I love stocking up on seasonal finds.
- Mrs. Meyer’s is cruelty free brand that uses natural plant based ingredients. They are know for cleaning products. Mrs. Meyer’s has released an extensive line up of fall products. The products are offered in four scents: Acorn Spice, Fall Leaves, Apple Cider, and Mum. I like the Fall Leaves hand soap. I’m not a fan of the Mum scent but that might just be a personal problem. Mums are ubiquitous with fall. Most people decorate their front porches for fall with mums but I’m just not a fan.
- If you are looking for a fall scented body lotion try Hempz. It’s made with hemp seed oil. They have released two fall scents Pumpkin Spice with vanilla chai and Apple Cider with nutmeg. There is also a pumpkin spice edition of their herbal lip balm. These products are vegan and cruelty free.

These look so good! They remind me of the cream cheese pumpkin muffins from Starbucks.
