Monthly Update

Hello June

Goodbye May, Hello June! Summer is in full swing here! We have been grilling like crazy and our garden is in bloom. Our basil plants are big and bushy and I think we will be able to pick our first tomato next week.

I got a new watering can! I know super exciting stuff! I named him Greeny.

I can’t wait until we have tons of tomatoes so I can make more of this tomato salad. It’s a great side dish for parties and barbecues. I am working on a few more dishes like this right now. I am obsessed with picnic foods and seasonal fruit right now. Blackberries and Peaches! I can’t get enough of you. One of my favorite things about summer is going to the farmers markets around town. You never know what you find.

We have been grilling everything we can get our hands on! It’s almost a game at this point. Will it grill? Strawberries check. Beets check. Pineapple check.  What do you want us to grill next? What do you love to grill?

I went to a really fun yoga event this month. The Regions Tradition golf tournament was in town and this year they added a new event to the festivities. Shipt Yoga On The Green was a 90 minute yoga flow session that was lead by three instructors out on the golf course. So much fun but talk about hot yoga! I don’t think I have ever sweated that much. Outdoor yoga is a challenge. The sun was setting as the class ending and the event wrapped up with free wine. Free yoga and free wine. How do you beat that?
