Container Garden Planted!
Every summer we try to grow some veggies and herbs on the back deck. Our favorite is always basil but we also grow peppers and tomatoes. New this year we are trying a cucumber and okra plant. We use a drip irrigation system that is on a timer and just adjust through out the summer depending on how dry and hot it gets.

Oh my gosh. This is EXACTLY what I'm waiting to do. Ugh. But, I live in Chicago – so I'm waiting… impatiently. It seems like we will be growing similar plants so post updated growth pics 🙂
A Maine Homestead
This is great! Even though we have garden spots we still enjoy growing in pots on the deck. It's so easy to just step out the door and get fresh herbs for dinner. Good luck with the okra and cucumbers!
