In a mixing bowl gently combine the blackberries with the sugar. Then set to the side and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Pre-heat the oven to 350.
In a second mixing bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Then add 1/2 cup of melted vegan butter and one cup of plantbased milk to the flour. Mix the batter well.
Pour the batter into a 10" cast iron skillet. Evenly distribute the berries and sugar on top of the batter.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
