My Yoga Journey
I have never really talked about my yoga practice on Vegetarian South before but it is a big part of my life. I am not a teacher. I am just a student. Actually scratch that I am not “Just a” anything. I am a yogi. I am working on limiting the word “just” from my vocabulary. It is weak and unnecessary. Camping Trip with Vegan Sloppy Joe Mix
This weekend we went camping at Buck’s Pocket State Park in northeast Alabama. An easy meal to make when you go camping is vegan sloppy joe sandwiches. We use Fantastic World Foods vegan Sloppy Joe mix. It’s really easy you add the box mix and canned tomato paste to boiling water. The instruction on the package also says to add a tablespoon of vegetable oil but we leave that out. We picked this campground because we wanted to take our kayaks with us and paddle around on the lake. There is a near by boat ramp at Morgan’s cove where you can put in to Guntersville Lake. Not food related but too fun not to share…
This past weekend we made a Christmas themed cardboard cat house. Its pretty cool. Our two cats Spooky and Lucky are indoor cats but they still seem to get cold in the winter. So we built them a little shelter and decorated it. There is a towel in the inside of the house for them to curl up on. here are a few photos.
